PUEBLO — Kids in need in Pueblo received a mountain of gifts Thursday thanks to the family that owns the Sunset Inn.

They collected toys and other presents with the help of customers to donate to POSADA - a group that helps families in need.

Now 179 kids will have presents just in time for Christmas.

Sunset Inn owner Gerda Chavez said she started the event to teach a lesson to her kids. "My kids were so spoiled and they needed to see how other kids need more stuff," Chavez said.

Chavez said she now does this gift giveaway in memory of her son Taustin Chavez.
