EL PASO COUNTY — The parents of Gannon Stauch said Thursday they are holding off on plans for future memorial services for now, until travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted.
They said they have not finalized any new plans here or in South Carolina, where they used to live.
Gannon, 11, had been missing since January. Remains found last week in Florida were tentatively identified as belonging to him.
Neither investigators nor prosecutors in Colorado Springs have released any official details on how he died.
Letecia Stauch, his step-mother, is charged with his murder.
