OTERO COUNTY — The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person seriously injured Friday night.
Authorities say the crash happened just before 7 p.m. Friday night on Highway 50 at Otero County Road 14. This is approximately three miles east of Manzanola.
According to CSP, one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 and was making a right hand turn onto Otero County Road 14. A second vehicle was also traveling eastbound and struck the rear of the other vehicle.
The vehicle that was rear-ended overturned and came to rest on its roof between the highway and the railroad tracks. The driver was transported to Arkansas Regional Medical Center for serious bodily injury.
The driver and passenger in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are considered a factor in the crash.
