PUEBLO — District 70 in Pueblo received a Safe2Tell tip for Sky View Middle School Wednesday evening.
According to a post on the district's Facebook page, the tip was vague about a possible threat at the school on Thursday.
The post said that the school's administration, the District 70 administration, and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office take these tips seriously and their number one priority is the ensure the safety of students.
So, the school will have heightened security with additional district personnel and sheriff's deputies present at the school Thursday.
The district said that if parents decide not to send their children to school Thursday, there will be no attendance penalty. An academic day will occur for students who do not attend.
