EL PASO COUNTY — On Friday, Shield 616 made another major donation to local law enforcement providing 332 kits to eight different agencies.
"You've got to look at the numbers across the United State of the people that are dying, the people in our county that infected," said El Paso County Sheriff Bill Elder. "I think that this today's ballistic protection."
The kits were divided between El Paso County Sheriff's office, Costilla County Sheriff's office, Monument Police Department, Palmer Lake Police Department, Fountain Police Department, Tri-Lake Fire Department, Black Forest Fire Department and the Colorado National Guard.
The kits include safety goggles and sanitizing wipes for front line officers.
