Sheriff's Office seeks public's help in locating attempted murder suspect

EL PASO COUNTY — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO) is seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect who is wanted for Attempted Murder.

According to the EPCSO, a woman called 911 on Saturday evening to report that she was just shot at. She went on to state that she was waved down by another woman and decided to giver her a ride. She said that shortly thereafter, a man in another vehicle pulled up next to them and fired multiple rounds in their direction.

Police said that neither of the women were injured by the gunshots.

The EPCSO said deputies and detectives were able to determine identify the suspect as 19-year-old Jamere Williams. He is now wanted for Attempted Murder/Domestic Violence.

Williams is described as a black male, standing approximately 5'6" tall, with a medium build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
