PUEBLO — The pandemic has impacted donations to the Salvation Army in Pueblo and they need your help.
The organization is collecting toys to give to more than 600 kids in the community, but they still need about 250 more toys to meet their goal.
The Salvation Army is also down about $80,000 in its Red Kettle campaign.
"We are really seeing more people come in for services than we have ever had before. COVID has hit us hard. It has hit Pueblo hard," explains Capt. Leslie Cyr with the Salvation Army.
The organization is accepting toy donations for this effort until Monday. Visit them at 401 S Prairie Ave, Publo, CO 81005.
You can also donate to the Red Kettle campaign until Christmas Eve. Visit salvationarmyusa.org/usn and choose the 'Donate Locally' option to give to a particular area.
