PUEBLO — Boots are on the ground to repair a historic building in Pueblo.
Construction has now begun on the historic Goodnight Barn.
News 5 was there Tuesday as crews were working on one of the walls of the more than a century old structure.
"It is very exciting for the city of Pueblo and the stakeholders. "The Goodnight Preservation Barn Committee is very excited about this starting and being completed and celebrating western heritage," said Capital Projects Manager, Bill Zwick.
Work is expected to be done by early summer of next year.
Crews have a little more than $1 million to work with. The money is coming from state, local, and private funds.
