PUEBLO — The Pueblo Zoo is highlighting conservation efforts for the endangered Red Panda.
Saturday was International Red Panda Day.
The Pueblo Zoo is home to two of the unique animals and is raising money to support the Red Panda Network.
"Pandas are part of the ecosystem and like with any animal, every part of the ecosystem is important and if it changes or disappears, it throws the whole ecosystem out of balance. So it is important to preserve them," Pueblo Zoo Executive Director Abigail Krause said.
The Pueblo Zoo is open but if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, you are asked not to visit.
