PUEBLO COUNTY — Cares Act money is headed to Pueblo and will hopefully help some families get some much-needed relief.
The Pueblo County Department of Human Services said it has received a little more than $300,000 in Cares Act money.
Approximately $100,000 of that will go to Posad for housing and the rest will go to DHS service like helping people with their utility bills and rent.
"It is absolutely imperative to serve our homeless population and our victims of domestic violence in our community, and the only way we are able to do that is by partnering with each other in order to get funds," DHS Deputy Director Tammy Torres said.
DHS also received an additional $150,00 that will go to the YWCA and Posad.
