PUEBLO — Family, friends, and members of the community organized a drive-by celebration to let a Pueblo teen know they are rooting for her.

Serenity Nailor-Lewis was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018, which makes it even more important for her to maintain social distancing right now to keep her safe healthy.

Participants gathered at the Roncalli STEM Academy before driving past Serenity's home, honking their horns and holding out banners wishing her a happy 19th birthday.

Serenity's family says they're overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who took part.

"Without the community, we couldn't make all this happen and make these times special for Serenity. It is with great gratitude that we have this many supporters out in this community," Malikah Pool, Serenity's mother, said.
