PUEBLO — Despite the pandemic organizers are starting to plan for the Colorado State Fair.

The fair is scheduled to start Aug. 27 and end Sept. 6.

The theme for this year is going to be "All Roads Lead to the Colorado State Fair."

This year the fair is teaming up with Colorado tourism to highlight all areas of the state.

The fair plans to have a bigger concert lineup, the slopper eating contest and the high dive show.

"Our big surprise this year is to make sure that we take the 2019 fair and bring it forth in a way that fits with you know with our new public health requirements around COVID-19," said State Fair General Manager Scott Stoller.

Last year the fair had to be scaled down due to COVID-19 concerns.
