COLORADO SPRINGS — Outgoing Fort Carson Commander Randy George recently took some time to talk with News 5.
General George has been in leadership positions four times on the Mountain Post during his career.
Under his guidance, the Fourth Infantry Division is considered one of the Army's best and he considers Colorado Springs to be one of the most supportive homes for the military.
"The community does so much for Fort Carson. We are blessed with all that they do for our soldiers and I think it's because of the 700,000 plus that live in El Paso County.
General George joined the Army as a private in 1982. There's no word yet on his next assignment.
