As we continue to track the progress of the USOPC museum in downtown Colorado Springs, a major milestone was met on Wednesday.

Construction crews installed the last aluminum panel on the structure.

As the museum continues to take shape, it's growing clearer each and every day that this gem of downtown redevelopment will embody the grace, power and spirit of olympic and paralympic athletes.

Chris Liedell with the museum told News5 today, ''I find it from an asthetic standpoint to be just a great sort of draw to the city. Just the architecture itself is beautiful. ''

There are nearly nine thousand panels on the museum, which, when finished sometime this Spring, will be a magnificent display for olympic memorabilia through the years as well as a monumental source of history for all of our olympic champions, their teams and their outstanding individual and collective accomplishments.
