COLORADO SPRINGS — This year's Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo was canceled but one popular event still took place.
Little cowboys and cowgirls from ages 4 to 9 showed off their skills Saturday afternoon during the mutton bustin' competition at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.
"To see my grandkids and his friends getting out here and doing it and that they're trying is the main thing. And watching these girls and boys right now trying, just brings everything to my heart right now. But on a personal level, that's something I wish I could've done when I was their age," Barry Agnew said.
Attendees also said seeing the kids participate in events like this is one way to offer a little bit of normalcy during an unusual time.
