COLORADO SPRINGS — You may see a fairly amazing sight in the sky over Colorado Springs Friday morning. You'll more than likely hear it beforehand. A fleet of 25 unarmed Blackhawk helicopters from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division will conduct readiness training exercises between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
The helicopters are leaving Fort Carson and flying east towards Fountain, heading north to the Air Force Academy and then flying south back to Fort Carson.
#ColoradoSprings perks! Cool aircraft geekiness on my part. 25 Blackhawk UH-60’s from #FortCarson flying over my house? Yes, please. #helicopters #armybase #training #blackhawk #ARMY pic.twitter.com/IuAfxmCqb9

Officials at Fort Carson are warning residents that the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters may cause some extra noise to your morning. The base is committed to being a good neighbor and say they will continue to let the public know when they are doing events like these that may affect the community. They ask that any noise complaints be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs office 719-526-9849.
