PUEBLO — Lake Pueblo State Park is preparing for another wave of crowds after record numbers of people came out over Memorial Day weekend.
The park was so busy over the weekend it had to close for the first time ever due to being at capacity.
With Father's Day and 4th of July coming up, staff are using different strategies to get ready for the upcoming holidays.
"We are going to have more rangers at different parking lots to try and stem the issues of parking off road and overcrowding in certain areas," Ranger Matthew Taylor said.
The park will provide updates on things to expect before you get to the park on its social media.
