COLORADO SPRINGS — Some child care providers are working to make sure that those who are working under the designation of essential personnel have a place for their kids to go.

To help these people with required standards, the United Way and other support groups like Kids Alliance are banding together to offer support.

These groups are collecting and delivering items child care providers are having a hard time finding.

"We want to make sure that they are taken of so that they can take care of our kiddos, so that then our first responders and health care providers can make it to work," said Annie Snead with Pikes Peak United Way.

Contact the Pikes Peak United Way if you can donate rubber gloves, disinfecting cleaning supplies, or toilet paper.
