DENVER — On Friday, Gov. Jared Polis officially extended the state’s mask mandate until September.

The order will now be in effect for the next 30 days.

The governor also clarified the order to exempt individuals performing ‘life rites,’ including wedding ceremonies, graduations, funeral services, baptisms, bris ceremonies and other religious ceremonies.

The original mandate went into effect at midnight on July 16.
