Gov. Jared Polis to visit southern Colorado, sign bills into law

COLORADO SPRINGS — Gov. Jared Polis will be traveling throughout southern Colorado Monday to sign several bills into law.

Polis will be making several stops, including stops at Fire Station 8 in Colorado Springs and Musso Farms in Pueblo County this morning.

At the fire station, he will be signing HB20-1119 State Government Regulation Of Perfluoroalkyl And Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, SB20-026Workers' Compensation For Audible Psychological Trauma, and SB20-057 Fire Prevention & Control Employee Benefits at 10:30 a.m.

He will then go to Pueblo at 11:45 a.m. to sign HB20-1184 Sunset Colorado Seed Act, SB20-002 Rural Economic Development Initiative Grant Program, SB20-030 Consumer Protections For Utility Customers, and HB20-1229 Peace Officers Standards and Training Board Scholarship Rural And Small Law Enforcement.

This afternoon, he'll be in Trinidad at 2 p.m. to sign the bill that creates Fisher's Peak State Park. He'll then head back north with bill signing stops at Pueblo Community College at 4:15 p.m. for HB20-1366 Higher Education Funding Model, HB20-1109 Tax Credit Employer Contributions to Employee 529s, and SB20-095 Middle School Students Concurrent Enrollment Information.

He'll end the day in Denver at 7 p.m. where he will sign HB20-1424 Social Equity Licensees In Regulated Marijuana into law.
