PUEBLO — Even though the weekend is coming to a close, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is around the corner, volunteers for the group Pueblo United in Pueblo are not slowing down.

They are busy at work today putting their final touches on a food distribution that's happening tomorrow.

They are making an inventory of everything they have and organizing those food bags.

This food distribution will start 1 p.m. Monday afternoon at Beckwood Park in Pueblo.

This group started back in June of 202 as a response to the pandemic. Their focus is to help provide food to people on the south and west side of Pueblo.
Pueblo United is teaming up with Care and Share and Mozo's among other organizations to make this event possible.

Volunteers are hoping to be able to feed at least 150 families.

Pueblo United applied for their nonprofit status back in November and they are hoping to be certified by next month.

If you can't make Monday's event, Pueblo United wants you to message them on Facebook or call their phone number.
