COLORADO SPRINGS — Students at Antelope Trails Elementary School got a warm welcome back to school from some special visitors today.

Firefighters from Westcott Fire Department greeted the kids with high fives, stickers, and words of encouragement.

"I think it builds a trust in knowing that firefighters and the fire department is somewhere you can go to be safe," Chief Vinny Burns, said.

Westcott Fire Station 1 is right across the street from the school and they have been greeting students for the past ten years.
