COLORADO SPRINGS — Fire crews extinguished a fire at the Drake Power plant located at 700 Conejos in Colorado Springs Tuesday night.
According to authorities, between 20 and 40 employees had to evacuate the plant Tuesday night after the fire in Unit 7 around 8:30 p.m.
The Fire Department said these kind of fire are very serious because of the hazardous materials inside the plant. Also, firefighters can't use water to put a fire like this out.
Both the fire department and police are investigating.
