COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police are investigating the crash that killed Jennifer Clelend as her car went off of S. Circle Drive near Janitell Road. Cleland was reported missing by her family 2 days before the crash was found.
Investigators say she was heading north when she went off the road and hit a tree. The crash was discovered Tuesday morning around 6:30 a.m.
Family had told police she went out Saturday for grocercy shopping and never returned.
As officers were mapping out the scene and collecting evidence, a suspect in a chase with Colorado State Patrol blew through the closed road, almost hitting investigators. At last check, that suspect was able to avoid officers in pursuit. There's no word on why that driver was beingh sought by state patrol.
