EL PASO COUNTY — El Paso County women took charge this week at the Habitat for Humanity "Women Build" event.
Women Build volunteers have funded and built four home so far in El Paso County.
These events are designed to empower women, but Habitat for Humanity says all volunteers are welcome at its build events.
"Women Build is primarily a celebration and encourages more women to come out and build with us. We don't want to discriminate though, so we don't make it women exclusive. We just encourage everyone to come out," said Sarah Buchen, PPHFH Construction Volunteer Coordinator.
Pikes Peak Habitat for Humantiy holds Women Build events four times a year. The next one is scheduled for November 7th through the 9th.
