EL PASO COUNTY — The flood of interest for COVID19 vaccine information motivated quick response from both El Paso County Public Health and Pueblo County Public Health departments. They now have online links with extensive vaccine information.
The sites offer instructions and graphics to help everyone better understand the distribution. There are instructions on how to get yourself signed up for immunization. You can see the phases of who qualifies for the vaccine. There are timelines offering estimates of when one phase will end and another will start. "We'll be helping fill in some of those dates as they become more clear,” said El Paso County Public Health, Medical Director, Dr. Robin Johnson. Because information is currently evolving so quickly, the sites will update often.
The sites also keep a tally of how many people in the county have been vaccinated. “So, you can see how close we are to getting to the goal that would indicate we’re getting herd immunity,” said Dr. Johnson.
