Harrison District Two will be on early dismissal Thursday due to President Trump coming to Colorado Springs.
President Trump will be visiting Colorado Springs and speaking at the World Area. Local law enforcement told Harrison District Two that their schools will be impacted by road closures starting as early as 1 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m.
Because of that, the district has decided to have early release for students and staff. Dismissal times are as followed:
High Schools: 11:30 am
Elementary Schools: 12:00 pm
Middle Schools & Mountain Vista Community School: 12:30 pm
Administration Office: 2:00 pm
Students will receive lunch prior to release. Transportation will be provided to students who ride the bus home. If you are picking up your student, give yourself extra travel time.
All after-school activities are canceled in the district, except for High School Basketball games.
