Drought conditions expected to keep mosquito population low

PUEBLO — If you live in Pueblo, don't expect too many mosquitoes for a while.

Vector Disease Control said since southern Colorado is experiencing drought conditions, the mosquito population should be below average to average for the time being.

They also said we could see a larger amount of mosquitoes when monsoon season comes to Colorado.

In the mean time, you should still adhere to the four D's with mosquitoes: Don't go out during dusk or dawn, drain water, wear deet, and dress up.
