PUEBLO — A Pueblo man accused of killing his former pregnant girlfriend will be back in court tomorrow.
Donthe Lucas is accused of murdering Kelsie Schelling in February of 2013. Her body has never been found.
He had a motions hearing Tuesday that was closed off to the public. Lawyers for both sides were reprotedly conducting interviews.
Even though details can't be shared as to what happened Tuesday, Kelsie's mom told News 5 that it was a tough day.
"Sometimes I handle it better than others. Today I did not handle it well, so a lot of tears today. Really tired after today," said Laura Saxton, Kelsie's Mother.
The murder trial for Lucas is set for January 2020.
