COLORADO SPRINGS — Academy School District 20 announced Sunday that Frontier Elementary will reopen on Monday, Aug. 31.
The school was closed on Friday, Aug. 28 after some staff and students displayed "COVID-like" symptoms throughout the past week.
The district said Sunday that based on test results received to this point, some individuals in isolation and/or quarantine can return to school on Monday. The district added that one class must remain in quarantine while the district awaits one additional test result.
The individuals in this class have been contacted directly, the district said.
The district continues to as that staff and students conduct a daily symptom check before coming to school. If a student or staff member is displaying any symptoms, they should stay home.
