COLORADO SPRINGS — Randy Bishop made a brief appearance Friday in El Paso County court for an advisement hearing.
Bishop was arrested Sunday on multiple charges including attempted murder of a peace officer.
He is due back in court February 11.

The man who was featured on a most wanted list early last fall, managed to escape police custody at a local hospital, and shot Colorado Springs Police officers, is now in custody.
Sunday afternoon, Colorado Springs Police announced via Twitter that they had Randy Bishop back in handcuffs.
We're now learning more about his capture. According to police, Bishop was spotted driving a Mercedes in the southeast part of the city. As officers tried to get him to pull over, Bishop reportedly fled, causing the officers to disable the suspect's car by using their patrol car. Bishop was arrested without further incident in the 900 block of Tammany Drive.
Bishop is now facing the following charges:
- Unlawful Distribution, Manufacture, dispensing or Sale of a Controlled Substance
- Robbery
- Second Degree Assault
- Second Degree Kidnapping
- Second Degree Assault
- Felony Menacing
- Child Abuse
- Attempted First Degree Murder of a Peace Officer
- First Degree Assault
- Escape
- First Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft
- Disarming a Peace Officer
- Robbery
- Attempted First Degree Murder of a Peace Officer
- First Degree Assault on a Peace Officer
- Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree
There was a $10,000 reward being offered for Bishop following the Jan 12 incident where he was pulled over by Colorado Springs Police Officers Beau Becker and Christina Mattox as they stopped the driver of a car for expired license plates.
According to police, the driver fired at least one shot at the officers, striking Becker. Both officers returned fire as the driver fled the area. The car was later found crashed nearby and the driver gone.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as 35-year-old Randy Bishop, who has been on the run from authorities since he escaped custody in November at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs.
Alerts went out warning everyone to keep an eye out for Bishop as he was considered armed and "extremely" dangerous. He has at least four open warrants for his arrest. Click here to learn more on his criminal history.
