NORTH CAROLINA — The Canon City Police Department announced Monday that arrest warrants have been issued for Luciano Pogorzelski and Madison Blackburn, charging the pair with Second Degree Murder in the death of Richard Fay.

On Monday, an extradition hearing was held for the two and both have waived extradition. They are awaiting transportation back to Fremont County from North Carolina, according to CCPD.

CCPD said investigators are still trying to determine the relationship between Fay, Luciano, and Blackburn. The investigation is continuing both in Fremont County and North Carolina.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information on this case contact the Canon City Police Department.

Pogorzelski and Blackburn will remain in the Gaston County Jail in North Carolina pending extradition.

On Saturday night, Sept. 29, Canon City Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Spruce Court on a report of gunshots. When they arrived, they found Richard Fay dead in front of the residence.
