COLORADO SPRINGS — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting near Fort Carson that left three adults dead and sent one to the hospital, who later died as a result of their injuries.

Initial reports stated that all four adults were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries but the Sheriff's Office issued a correction to that, saying that the three deceased adults died on scene.

The Sheriff's Office said the shooting occurred on Loomis Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. It was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. The person who was taken to the hospital died Friday, Feb. 4.

Names will be released when the coroner identifies all of them and notifies next-of-kin.

The Sheriff's Office said more information will be provided at a later time. The Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating this as a Domestic Violence incident.
