PUEBLO — Pueblo's Courthouse is literally lit up with holiday spirit!

Tonight marked the city's 20th Annual Courthouse Lighting, but the event was a bit different than in years past. A night where normally thousands of people in Pueblo would gather at the Courthouse to kickoff the holiday season was mostly silent, since the event was virtual for the first time due to the pandemic.

People in Pueblo were able to watch the lighting from home on the Pueblo County Facebook page, where public figures took turns saying a few words about the event.

Not only were people missing from the courthouse grounds, but also the extravagant fireworks display that typically happens at the lighting every year. Nonetheless, people of all ages still pulled up and parked their cars to watch lighting take place in a socially-safe way.
