Chile season coming to an end as cold weather moves in

PUEBLO COUNTY — The cold weather is starting to creep in and that means the end of chile season in Pueblo.

One farmer we checked in with on the Mesa said despite the unique challenges this year,(COVID-19, drought, scaled down Chile Fest) farm stands stayed busy.

"There are more and more people choosing to come out to the farm, possibly some more canning and freezing and people just wanting fresh vegetables and people supporting Pueblo County and the Pueblo County Growers," Farmer Shane Milberger said.

This week is likely the last good week to buy fresh chiles.
