COLORADO SPRINGS — Children's Hospital Colorado is kicking off a new program focused on mental health.
"Building Resiliency for Healthy Kids" is a pilot program at two Colorado Springs schools. It focuses on building and improving resiliency in children using one on one health coaching.
Sixth graders at Eagleview Middle School and fifth graders at Monroe Elementary will be the first to take part in the program.
At the end of the school year, two researchers from Children's Hospital and UCCS will use responses from students to determine the programs impact and how to improve it in the future.
