PUEBLO — Memorial Day weekend is expected to be a busy one for Lake Pueblo.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife expects thousands to show up each day of the holiday weekend, putting hundreds of boats on the water.
CPW is asking people to exercise personal responsibility, especially when it comes to COVID-19 procedures like social distancing.
Those getting an early start on the weekend say that's not difficult.
"It is pretty easy on the boat. It keeps you from getting too close to other people. Even though we are all enjoying the same space we are doing it with at least six feet of distance between us," said Beulah resident Sarah Dugal.
CPW is also asking people to plan ahead and be patient this weekend at the lake.
The campgrounds are full and Swim Beach is closed at Lake Puebo due to the coronavirus.
