PUEBLO — The Assistance League of Pueblo held their largest fundraiser of the year Saturday at the Pueblo Convention Center.
The Holiday Fashion Preview and Gourment Luncheon raises money for the charity's "Operation School Bell," which buys new clothes and books for kids in need when they had back to school.
"Many of our members are retired teachers, and so they're really aware of the need within the community, and I don't know, I just feel like I was put on this Earth to make a difference in my community and so, that's what I'm doing," said Mary K. Peters.
The Pueblo Dillards has supported the group by putting on the fashion show for more than 30 years.
Last year, the League raised more than $130,000 to help Pueblo kids look their best during back to school.
