COLORADO SPRINGS – Work is underway to make room for the new 3,000 seat Colorado College hockey stadium. One of the first buildings scheduled for demolition came down this week. It happened quickly because the area will be used to park cars for upcoming graduation events.

Other demolition work will happen in phases. At Wooglin’s deli, loyal customers are asking what will happen to the popular gathering spot. “The college has reached out to us, they’ve embraced us, they’re offering us a new spot in the project,” said Wooglin’s Owner, Kelvin Thorne.

While construction happens, Wooglin’s will open a second location. “I wish I could tell you [where], but we’ve been looking,” said Thorne. Negotiations are in the works.

When the stadium is finished Wooglin’s will then operate two locations.
