COLORADO SPRINGS – A woman is facing multiple charges, including child abuse, following a crash near the intersection of N. Powers and Briargate Rd. Monday.

The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a traffic accident at 1:51 p.m. Monday. When they arrived on scene, they found 36-year-old Angela Miller was unresponsive. Police say Miller was driving northbound on Powers Blvd. and veered off the road, hitting several overhead light poles before her vehicle came to a stop.

Emergency crews were able to extricate Miller and she was transported from the scene with unknown injuries. Police also found a child in the vehicle, who didn’t suffer any injuries.

Authorities say Miller was in possession of illegal narcotics and they believe a mix of drugs and alcohol were factors in the crash. Miller was arrested for possession of drugs, child abuse, DUI and DUID and multiple other charges.
