COLORADO SPRINGS – Police arrested a woman accused of attacking multiple people at a hotel Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.

Officers were dispatched around 7:15 p.m. to a hotel off of Geyser Drive, which is near the Lake Ave exit and I-25. When they arrived, they found citizens had detained a woman identified as 47-year-old Erin L. Batiste.

According to witnesses, Baptiste hit a child who was staying at the hotel with a vase before she got into a vehicle and began ramming parked cars. Witnesses also told police she took bleach and eggs from her car and threw them at guests.

Police said a Batiste then tried to run over a hotel employee and a guest before bystanders detained her. According to police, there was a family with a 3-year-old child inside one of the cars she’s accused of ramming. Hotel guests told CSPD they had never seen her before, and police have not yet determined a motive.

In addition to those crimes, police said she was driving a stolen SUV.
