COLORADO SPRINGS – Now is the time to start applying for that summer job.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center says that summer 2019 is shaping up to be a good year to start making some money. In past years when there was a weaker economy, many businesses were filled with overqualified workers, but now the climate is right for job seekers of all ages.

“The hospitality industry and local attractions are hiring a lot of summer positions, across all the hotels, the big resorts, the local smaller attractions are all hiring,” said Jennifer Pierceall Herman, industry relations manager.

One place hiring, El Paso County. The county is hiring for everything from the parks department to seasonal employees in nature centers.
