COLORADO SPRINGS – Trash pickup is getting cleaner and quieter in the city.

On Monday, Waste Management unveiled a new fuel station for their growing fleet of natural gas-powered trucks. The station is installed at WM’s location on Chambers Street off North Nevada Avenue.

”It’s great for our employees to be in these new trucks, great for the environment, the community, and great for El Paso County,” says District Manager David Bernal.

Right now the company is operating 26 natural gas-powered trucks which they estimate saving $208,000 a year on fuel. Those savings, they say, will be passed onto their customers.
