COLORADO SPRINGS – Local community leaders gathered at Antlers Park to encourage Colorado lawmakers to oppose proposed rollbacks in clean car standards.

They say easing standards on car and transportation pollution could eventually lead to lost jobs and a decline in public health.

”This is an example of one of the areas that, may on it’s own, may not seem terribly important,
but when you combine this with all the other factors that are going into environmental issues,
especially air pollution, it’s one more thing we can do,” Dr. Hal Bidlack, an Environmental Impact Expert commented why stopping rollbacks is so important.

Colorado adopted tougher clean air standards in 2018.
