COLORADO SPRINGS — In celebration of National Coin Week, The Money Museum in Colorado Springs is working to get people excited about the history and facts of minting coins.
The Money Museum on North Cascade will be having an open house Saturday.
There are a lot of good reasons to go, “We have prizes for young and old. Kids can do a plinko drop and win a cool coin. We have demonstrations happening in our mini-mint showing people how money was made back when the first United States mint was founded back in 1972 Philadelphia. We’ve got trivia going on, we’ve got door prizes. We even have a cash tornado where somebody can go in and grab all the paper money they can in 30 seconds time,” says the museum’s Andy Dickes.
