PUEBLO – The Pueblo Fire Department is saying, starting next month, dispatchers will be asking callers more questions.

Responses to those questions will help operators determine what kind of emergency response callers receive.

The changes aim to better manage PFD’s resources.

Assistant Fire Chief Will Gray saying the change will help save money by not having more expensive units head to lower, less severe calls.

The new system is expected to be in place by May.
