BOULDER – Students and faculty at CU Boulder protested Monday over the appointment of new President, Mark Kennedy.
Their concerns deal mainly with Kennedy’s votes against marriage equality when he was a Minnesota Congressman in the US House of Representatives.
Students said that his voting record is not reflective of the leader CU should have.
In a letter, Kennedy said his position on marriage has evolved since he made that vote more than 10-years-ago and that he would not make the same vote today.
