Firefighters perform overnight high-angle rescue in Palmer Park

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs firefighters rescued a man in Palmer Park well after the park had closed for the night.

CSFD finished the high angle rescue a little before 1 a.m., well after the park’s closing time of 9 p.m.

We’re told the hiker fell and injured his leg.

The park is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
