PUEBLO – Multiple officers and sergeants were on the scene of a bar fight at The Favorite Tavern around 1:30 Saturday morning.
As officers tried breaking up the brawl, a man attacked one of the officers, attempting to take his gun out of the holster but was unsuccessful.
During the struggle, the officer suffered a minor injury to his lower leg. He went to the emergency room to get checked out and is expected to be ok.
The man who attacked the officer was also taken to the hospital and later into custody.
Another male who was knocked unconscious during the fight was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No other officers were injured during the incident.
