COLORADO SPRINGS – Work is set to begin next Monday on a project to bring improvements to South Rockrimmon Boulevard in Colorado Springs.
Crews will repave the road, install ADA ramps at intersections, repair sidewalks and improve drainage on the road between Vindicator Drive and Pro Rodeo Drive.
Work will happen from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to last through October. Areas of Rockrimmon Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction while work happens. There will also be some short-term closures of intersections and driveways in the area as well.
The $5.5 million project is funded through the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority and the city’s Capital Improvements Program.
